Right off I noticed the included carrying pouch is perfect for protecting my I pod nano (the squarish one). The cables has two sections (slightly hard to explain) which prevents the cord from breaking when snagged. However I have broken one set which lasted about a year but for the price they have great quality and feel. They block out much of the background noise and do a good job of staying in my ear. The bass is amazing I believe these are a lot better than my friends skull candies. Just try not to loose the little rubber adapters that it comes with 3 sets (small, medium, large) so they should fit any ear.
I've had two sets of these headphones and both developed a fault so I got a refund. They are quite expensive compared to similar products on the market. I thought I would pay out and get the more expensive headsets in the hope they would last longer, unfortunately this wasn't the case. The first pair stopped working in the first month of owning them, the left headphone started crackling then made a 'POP' noise and stopped working all together, i figured the speaker had torn. I took these back and they were tested then replaced so I was happy with my new working pair. But then a month later the same thing happened, this time with the right headphone, crackle then pop (and i guess snap too :D) So I traipsed to the shop again, they were tested again, and the women handed me a new pair again. But this time I asked for my money back, and bought a much cheaper pair of no name brand headphones which have served me very well for 6 months.
These headphones are a great value.i got them for about 30usd and they are better than the sony equivalent that cost about 50usd. better clean your ears out thoroughly though, these headphones like to collect inner ear stuff...the sound quality is amazing and the near noise cancelling ability is great. i can turn my ipod up only half way and cannot hear any surrounding noise outside of an explosion or loud pop. the bass quality for these headphones is so good that i can actually feel my ear rumble a bit when it kicks in. most of the headphone is made of a flexible but strong rubber so inner ear pains are gone and they bend a bit so that when wearing them to sleep they won't jab you in the head/neck and in the box are three sets of inner ear pads (one on the headphones and two extra, different sized pairs) that are easy to adjust and do not rip easily. no significant difference in shape but different in size so that any size ear is catered to...also a cloth carry bag and a small case for the pads and/or the headphone buds but the cord doesn't not fit within the small case. the cord is also very sensitive...a bit fragile, not for someone who intends to do a whole lot of quick heavy motions which might snap the tiny rubber cable. another cool feature is that the cord has two size options for those who want to jog and have mp3 players on arm bands and worry that the cord might be too long. these headphones come pre assembled with the extender cable but can easily remove it as needed. if taken care of, these headphones will last you a long time and provide wonderful sound quality for your dollar. all in all they are as good as the sonys brand equivalent but not as crystal clear as the bose equivalent...worth it for the value
