Advantages: good quality at a very good price Disadvantages: fragile cord These headphones are a great value.i got them for about 30usd and they are better than the sony equivalent that cost about 50usd. better clean your ears out thoroughly though, these headphones like to collect inner ear stuff...the sound quality is amazing and the near noise cancelling ability is great. i can turn my ipod up only half way and cannot hear any surrounding noise outside of an explosion or loud pop. the bass quality for these headphones is so good that i can actually feel my ear rumble a bit when it kicks in. most of the headphone is made of a flexible but strong rubber so inner ear pains are gone and they bend a bit so that when wearing them to sleep they won't jab you in the head/neck and in the box are three sets of inner ear pads (one on the headphones and two extra, different sized pairs) that are easy to adjust and do not rip easily. no significant difference in shape but different in size so that any size ear is catered to...also a cloth carry bag and a small case for the pads and/or the headphone buds but the cord doesn't not fit within the small case. the cord is also very sensitive...a bit fragile, not for someone who intends to do a whole lot of quick heavy motions which might snap the tiny rubber cable. another cool feature is that the cord has two size options for those who want to jog and have mp3 players on arm bands and worry that the cord might be too long. these headphones come pre assembled with the extender cable but can easily remove it as needed. if taken care of, these headphones will last you a long time and provide wonderful sound quality for your dollar. all in all they are as good as the sonys brand equivalent but not as crystal clear as the bose equivalent...worth it for the value Summary: a very good buy at least worth the 30usd
