I have to use a lot of different gear for studio work, but often there is an overlap into the pleasure boundaries! These headphones are definitely headphones for pure aural pleasure. Small, sleek and stylish, Philips is a name I trust, having been weaned on their hi-fi products from a very young age. Their technology lasts and the quality is always good. The Philips SHE9620s provide a clear crisp sound quality, i listen to a lot of heavy rock and have found it really helps produce a deeper further sound. It breaks the songs apart, you can clearly hear bass which with most earphones seems to just drone it out with a low buzzing noise. My ipod has many different sound options, and unlike other earphones each option sounds different, with spoken word their voice becomes clear and easy, with rock heavy drums kick in and louder guitar. I love the way the song can sound so different every time with each option.
