Great Design and Look. I've been running for a couple of years, and these headphones are fine. Not amazing - but fine. Positives: they don't move around much, (until I get very sweaty - and frankly that applies to every pair of headphones I've tried). They are well priced - much lower than ones I've had before, and more comfortable. They continue to work as well as when I bought them. However, they do feel a bit cheap and plastic-y and because they are not an ear-bud style fitting, there is considerable outside noise. Listening to podcasts or audiobooks or radio while running, it annoyed me a lot when I couldn't hear over passing traffic - and it effects the music quality too, which is all a bit tinny. I normally prefer bud-type in-ear headphones as they fit my ears best, but as long as I don't push these in too tightly they're comfortable. A good seal in headphones has the same effect as a baffle in a normal speaker, and because I don't get this seal with these headphones, I lose some bass. However, that's a price worth paying for not having to constantly push them back in my ears and adjust for comfort while running - and letting a bit of the outside world in is often a good thing anyway. I bought these headphones as my normal in-ear headphones kept falling out whilst running. From reading the existing reviews I didn't expect the sound to be great, but just wanted to get a pair that wouldn't fall out and wouldn't cost much money. Overall, highly recommended.
We all use, or have used, ear phones of many shapes and sizes, and this is a set that I used a while back, until the piece that goes around the ear itself broke, maiing them as useful as a paper umbrella in a hurricane.
There are designed to go over your ear, having a hook shaped piece of plastic that rests on the top bit of the ear, both pieces being slightly different as they are for specific ears, left and right. But they do have a little 'L' and 'R' on each one so you know which goes into which ear.
The round the ear piece can be adjusted slightly in order to make it more comfortable on the ear, although I never really found that perfect comfort in order to use on long music listening periods.
The 3.5mm pin is gold plated for that better connection into the port which does give a better reception into the ear.
The wire itself is over a metre long which is great for moving about as these don't drag out of the ear when I moved my head.
The sound quality is pretty good with it giving a maximum out put for each one is 50mW, (1/20th of a watt). This may not sound much but as these go directly into the ear if it were any more you'd blow you stirrup into your brain
Sadly though there are no controls on the wire itself, such as volume or track change, so you do have to use the device this is plugged into in order to do the manual work. But I don't really mind that as I can see which track comes next.
The cost of these earphones that hook over the ear are about £15 - £20, which is not too bad really considering the quality of the sound. Although you do have to be a little gentle with the hook itself.
I purchased these earphones a few days ago as replacements after my Apple ones broke and I'm now considering not going back to my previous brand. I lifted these ones as they were the best looking for the budget I had in mind and I'm very impressed with them.
At £20 I thought this was very fair pricing and would definitely pay the same again if these eventually became broken.
They deliver excellent quality sound which is very clear. I heard some instruments used in the background of songs which had seemed very subtle before but now were very clear and enhanced! They are naturally loud earphones but work well with the volume on my phone.
The ear hooks are very flexibly sized and could fit on any shape or size of ear. They hook round mine perfectly and keep the earphones in my ears even when walking through strong winds. They're comfortable and don't feel rough nor do they rub.
The actual bit that goes in your ear is appropriately designed so that it stays in your ear, and the bass beat vents allow for air movement which also creates an enhanced quality of sound. The plug into your device ensures a reliable connection and is strong too so hopefully won't break in the same way my apple ones did. The wires also are strong and don't bend easily.
I'm really impressed with these earphones and would go as far as to say they're better than Apple ones. I definitely recommend them!
