These really are some industrial- type headphones, the design could be right off a contruction site. A screw locking system for adjusting the strap length may seem like a step too far, but it is a realy asset. Pioneer have aimed these phones at the DJ market- and it has payed off. Sound Quality: As with all speakers, I tested them over five tracks of varying audio: classical, spoken word, pop, metal and electronic- these provide a good range of pitch types and dynamic changes.
