“ Pioneer SE M10R - Headphones ( ear-cup ) „
These really are some industrial- type headphones, the design could be right off a contruction site. A screw locking system for adjusting the strap length may seem like a step too far, but it is a realy asset. Pioneer have aimed these phones at the DJ market- and it has payed off.
As with all speakers, I tested them over five tracks of varying audio: classical, spoken word, pop, metal and electronic- these provide a good range of pitch types and dynamic changes. These headphones proved to be very good at the bass levels. They were absolutely shocking, the deep sounds went right through me- this may be too much for some people, but it was very enjoyable. The treble was not as punishing, but was good nontheless. Overall, high quality sound came out of these phones.
The design, although a little odd, is quirky and reasonably good- looking. This comes with a detatchable coiled cord- with either a 3.5 mm jack or a full audio jack. This is good news for DJs who would need both options.
Overall, I would not recommend these heavy- duty headphones to the average iPod owner, but is a very good product for any DJ.
