I purchased the CX300 after wanting a decent pair of earphones that weren't your usual break in a week ones.

After reading reviews I found the CX300 to be a popular choice, the money I had spent on poor quality headphones so far I thought was about equivalent to the £18 cost of the Sennheisers so I went ahead and purchased them.

They are REALLY bassy, have a rubbery premium feel to the cable. But I wasn't impressed with the build quality of the actual ear bud. They look great but it was a little flimsy feeling.

I have since bought a pair of Creative ep630 which are the exact same shell but with different internal parts and branding.
In comparison the Sennheisers were bassier out of the package which the Creative's lacked but had more high end frequency and required some 'breaking in'.
The ep630 are still a good alternative as they cost around £10 - £20 but you can pick up CX300's for £16-£20, so in that case Sennheiser's all the way!

Summary: Headphones aren't cheap and you get what you pay for
