Advantages: Excellent Bass, nice sound, Cheap Price

Disadvantages: Reliability, Possibly the in-ear part (for some)

Having a good set or earphones can drastically improve one's enjoyment for music; it is probably the best thing you can do to get more enjoyment out of your music. You could do a lot worse than investing in a pair of Sennheiser CX300's.

*****SOUND******
So straight in to the most important factor when considering a new pair of earphones; how good is the sound quality?
Well the CX300's sound quality is excellent, the bass is very deep without being overpowering, and the mid to high range tones are really superb, and for the price bracket probably the best in its market.

*****PRICE*****
You can now pick these up, I believe, for just under £20 on Amazon which you cannot complain about, when they first came out they were around £40; so a real bargain.

*****SCAMS*****
Buyers must be very wary as there are a lot of cons out there making cheap illegal reproductions of these earpieces, you can generally tell because they will be selling for around £5 on eBay, but nonetheless it is something you should be aware of. There are plenty of guides on the internet letting you determine whether you have been conned or not, my advice, stick with a reputable dealer.

*****CABLE*****
Although I had no problems with the cable a few of my friends did, it is quite thin, and therefore seemingly quite vulnerable to general wear and tear, they have had problems with the cable splitting, and just generally not being very rugged.

*****RELIABILITY*****
One thing that really is a fatal flaw in the earphones however, is the dreaded "left earphone syndrome" with lots of people complaining about the right ear piece packing in after continual use. I myself had this problem and it was inevitably the reason I got rid of them, and replaced them.

*****COMFORT*****
This really is down to personal preference, some people really do not like their earphones being pushed down the ear canal. The benefits are massively reduced outside noise and more of the music getting to your ears. Whereas forcing something in youe ears can be very uncomfortable. In my opinion I think they are great, there is less chance of them slipping out and you can enjoy your music just that little bit more.

*****SUMMARY*****
For under £20 I believe that these headphones really are an excellent purchase, with the bass being one of the highlights of the earphones. Watch out for cheap imitations because you will be disappointed, and you have been warned about possible reliability issues...

Summary: A real bargain, even if they won't last you a lifetime...
