This Sennheiser CX 500 is a fantastic product. I used to have the CX 300, but they broke after 6 months (the infamous cable problem).
The CX500 sounds even purer at high tones, stronger in the mid-range and a great bass. I use it on the Ipod touch. I really love the sound that comes from the Ipod. I think it is a very good combination: the Sennheiser CX 500 and an Ipod.

You get no less than 6 pair of rubber caps that I believe are of higher quality compared to the CX300. There is a leather purse and a spindle included for the caps and the cable. You have to watch out for buttons in the cable to avoid that the cable is going to break.

There is also a clip included. This comes in very handy since there not too much stress on the cable during your walking. There is also a slider on the cable to regulate the volume, so that you do not have to take MP3 player out of your pocket. It is a must have for the music lover and its low price is more than worth it. Just look around for the best price and you will have a lot of fun with it. Do not doubt between the CX 300 and the CX 500, go for the CX 500!

Summary: I think that you are better off with the CX 500, than with the CX 300!
