I have had these headphones for a little over a year now and unlike some of the other reviews have suffered no problems with them at all, I have even taken them on long hauls flights and they've worked perfectly. The sound quality from them is pretty good and as they don't retail for a huge price I would say they are very good for not a lot of money. They come with a number of ear peices so you can find a size that fits your ear comfortably. I have also bought a pair of full ear sennheiser's but decided to get some ear buds for when I didn't want the bulk of the others to carry round. Their size and comparative lightness make them very easy to transport round with you and take up very little space in a pocket. The build quality seems pretty good and they have served me very well so far! Although I have taken them on long haul flights, I find they can become a little uncomfortable after extended periods and I usually have a break from them for a bit before using them again.
Unlike the other reviewers, I've had these headphone for quite a while without any problems! In my opinion the sound from these earphones is absolutely fantastic but then again my only comparison is the bog standard, crappy iPod headphones.
They have good strong bass and perform well with the higher pitches too. I only use these with my iPod with the occasional use with my laptop and they provide great quality sound for both.
The headphones come with a choice of three different sized ear moulds as these headphones do go into the ear canal, a generic fit would be useless! Luckily the medium size fits my ear perfectly but this could be a real problem if you couldn't get the right fit. In fact they would be rendered dam near useless.
These are not noise cancelling headphones but they do actually do quite a good job since they go into the ear canal and seal off any air leaks therefore more sound is transmitted into the ear from the music and less from outside noise.
The only time I have found the noise a problem is on an aeroplance but other than that I find these headphones the bee's knees!
I bought two pairs of Sennheiser headphones for me and my wife but both became faulty on an hour's short flight. Both went very quiet and now are both useless.I don't rate these in ear headphones if you are thinking of using them on a plane.I have only had them for about a year. The sound was great when they were working.
I have been extremely disappointed with these headphones. Not because the sound was bad, but because I had to return two pairs because they were faulty. I used them for ~2 months before each set developed a fault.I would not recommend them on the grounds they are not the sort of quality you would expect from Sennheiser. My confidence in the brand has taken a huge knock with this product.
I bought these headphones because i read a really good review for them somewhere. I can't remember where now- one of the magazines - which is just as well for them as I'd never trust them again. At £30 I was hoping these would be a bargain - if they only worked better it would be a bargain price for noise-cancelling headphones by a quality make.
The headphones come with a little faux-leather pouch and three pairs of differently sized ear buds.
What's wrong with them then? Well, nothing exactly, but they just aren't that good for what they cost. The sound quality is good but not THAT good, I find it's too bassy, and the bass does distort when you turn up the volume when you're playing music. The noise cancellation works but kind of dulls the treble, so you're left with a bassy, hollow sound. To clarify, these are corded, not cordless headphones - my reference to cordless headphones is to a different set.
Also, maybe it's my ears that are at fault, but I found that of the three sizes of buds supplied two were far too big and one too small. I ended up selling these on ebay in the end, which is a pity because I love my other Sennheiser headphones (cordless earmuff types) to bits.
