Advantages: Good sound quality, Comfortable, Value for money

Disadvantages: Not a lot at this price - Well they don't come with an adaptor for the standard 3.5mm jack

Being made by Sennheiser, I was expecting these headphones to be at least worth the £15 they cost me. Well, they exceeded my expectations. I have read in several reviews that these are excellent but simply don't have enough bass and I can see why people would say this. When connected to my computer via a Creative Audigy 2 sound card they come across as almost tinny and lack any low end punch. However, when using these headphones to listening to my Sony MP3 player there's plenty of oomph without a trace of distortion even at high volumes. They proved they could reproduce clean bass so with some tinkering with the EQ on my computer I managed to get them sounding pretty satisfying. So with a bit of equalising these headphones can sound great when connected to most devices and today even the most basic MP3 players or hi fis have some equalisation options.

A feature which I found useful was the 3 metre cord which gives a lot of freedom of movement but as these don't have any cable management it means they really are suited to home use. I can imagine walking through a crowded street with these on and seeing them fly from my head as the generous cable catches on someone pushing past! Whether the cable length is a blessing or a pain ultimately depends on what you itend to use them for. Comfort is a big plus for these headphones, light, well padded and enough adjustment available to suit almost everyone.

I've had the pleasure of listening to Sennheiser's HD 650s and I'm not going to say these can compare to high end headphones but that's not the point. There the best sub £30 cans I've used and at £15 it's a hard purchase to regret.

Summary: Best closed ear headphones for the price

Long cables can definitely be a problem - I nearly strangled someone on the Tube once!
