Advantages: Comfort, quality, long cord
Disadvantages: Sound easily audible around you when listening in a quiet space
First off, if you want these headphones so that you can listen to your music when walking to class, or for long car rides, these headphones are not a good buy. If you are genuinely going to use these as a Dj, then these are a definite buy.
Because they are Sennheisers, you know that they are going to be quality, so its not a surprise that they are so comfortable that you could wear them for hours without having ear pains or discomfort. Second the style is very sleek and they are pretty sturdily built, when you are changing from having them over your ears to around your neck a lot during an event, it is not going to affect the integrity of the joints, which is great because the past three headphones I had (Skullcandy) all broke right on that joint and were probably some of the most annoying headphones I have ever had. Sound quality was very nice in mine, there was just enough bass that it sounded great but not too much that you would get sick of it during long listening periods. The mids and highs sounded crystal clear as well and was clear even when the songs were not that great of quality. There was no difference in sound quality between a computer and a mp3 player, which I have seen in other DJ headphones. The cord was extremely long and came with an adapter, which was nice for when they were needed for different types of audio outlets.
These are Dj headphones so if you want to be quiet then this is a bad choice. When you play the music the speakers almost sound like they are on the outside of the headphones, so your music can be heard by everyone around you, even at a low volume. On that note as well, if these are advertised as being noise canceling or noise quieting at all, they are not, I could turn my volume all the way up and still have a conversation with the person next to me. These don't fold or become compact for travel, which was a little sad, but you can get a really nice case from Sennheiser so that was not that big of a con. You can disconnect the audio cord from the headphones, which makes packing them much much easier, especially since the cord is so long. In fact I actually used a rubber band to tie up all of the excess cord that I did not need.
Overall these headphones are great for everything but quiet listening. I was incredibly satisfied with them but they were not what I was expecting and after a few months I decided to sell them, and buy a nice pair of Bose. So if you are deciding whether or not you want to get these, just ask yourself if these are exactly what you want, because they are specifically designed for a set purpose. I hope this review helps you out.
Summary: Good for what their designed to do, but not much else
