I have had these for atleast 5 years and I have seen no need to replace them. I don't use them as much as I used too. Maybe a sign of old age!
They are exactly as the photo above and some might consider the silver colour a bit dated but to use in the house I don't think the styling makes much difference. I am more interested in the conort and performance.
The are comfortable. Nice soft foam which sit on you ears ( they don't cup your ears like some) the plastic headband is flexible enough and they don't fel like they crush your head. They are also quite light so are comfortable if earing for a long period of time. This lightweight does result in a certain amount of slippage if bending over for example. Thats why I say they are good around the house.
The sound parts easily move up and down and stay locked in place once adjusted to the correct position.
The headband also has a shaped piece of foam which adds to the comfort
One of the best things is the length of the cord. I have just measured it as 3.2m long so I can move around the living room without breaking my neck.
The performance is also excellent. I am sure that more expensive sound systems justify more expensive headphones but for mid priced separates or all in one systems I would say these are more than adequate with clear bass and treble very middle of the road. A nice warm sound which seems to work just as well with all kinds of music
