This product with me
If you have read my previous reviews, you will know that I buy headphones for specific things (eg. Gaming headsets, etc.), and I realised a few weeks ago that I didn't have any headphones suitable for long journeys as most of my current headphones become very uncomfortable after about 2-3 hours, so I started looking around and found that Sennheiser was apparently a great make for headphones.
At first I began looking for in ear headphones as they are usually my preference, but after seeing a few of these and hearing good things about them, I thought I may as well try them out and ordered them for about £55. When they arrived I was immediately surprised as the packaging looked very stylish and made me want to try them out even more, they were well protected and were very easy to set up (they worked as soon as I plugged them into my iPod), they felt very comfortable and fit easily, the sound quality was not amazing initially, but after listening to a few songs and experimenting with volumes etc. I found that they played sound at high volume without reduction of sound quality, and did not produce noise for people around you to hear, perfect for travelling.
I have had them for a few weeks now and they are still in the condition they arrived in (except for the cushion which had shaped around my ear), this is done by taking care and not overusing them, I tend to get a bit 'over protective' when it comes down to headphones and like to keep them in pristine condition. I do not know how they respond to being dropped or how long they last because I haven't damaged them or had them long enough to make an accurate judgement, but when I have had them a couple months I will update this review to give you an even more detailed response. For the time being I give them 9/10 for durability.
The headphones looked very promising on the item description and with Sennheiser technology to power them, they had to be good. Like I said earlier, at first they were not very impressive, good, but not anything to get excited by, until I started experimenting with various things. I found that at high volumes (higher than I would normally listen to) the headphones maintained immense sound quality, unlike most headphones available which tend to distort the song. I was also able to adjust the equalizer settings for different genres, as before I was unable to due to sound distortion, which improved sound quality even more. I give these headphones 10/10 for sound quality, absolutely fantastic!
The headphones look amazing in my opinion, most people tend to avoid buying big headphones like these because they usually look a bit silly however these are stylish, sleek and attractive (to some extent!). The black band that goes over the top of your head has a sophisticated matte finish with silver 'Sennheiser' written on it, the band then blends into the headphones themselves, making it look smooth and stylish. The cushions are comfortable and shape around your ears perfectly after a few hours of listening, I have worn them for about 6 hours and they didn't feel uncomfortable at all, I am very impressed with this product as it does everything I wanted them too. Another 10/10 for this product!
Would I recommend it?
Definitely, if you enjoy music and travel a lot this is a fantastic product, comfort remains the same for very long periods of time and the sound quality is phenomenal, and they do not let much noise out (depending on what volume you listen to music at). They look amazing and are fairly cheap compared to other headphones of this type!
