Great headphones for the price. (Sennheiser HD212)

Advantages: Cheap, comfortable, amazing sound qualty

Disadvantages: Can't actually think of any!

As I got more interested and serious about mixing music, I decided that I needed a better set of headphones that I could for both mixing and for general, everyday use. I didn't want to spend hundreds on a set of monitoring headphones, so i shopped around a bit and decided to purchase a pair of HD212's.

After trying them out in store, i was really impressed by them. They were perfect for me for many reasons. They weren't overly expensive - so I could use them for personal, without being scared stiff of damaging them. The build quality seems to be top class. And I can't see them ever getting broken damaged easily. They seem very sturdy. And if anything were to break, fixing them would not be hard at all, as spare parts are easily found.

Alongside the stylish look, they are also surprisingly comfortable. This was another positive reason for buying them, as I could quite possibly be using them for 48hrs on end in one sitting (!).

Obviously the most important reason for buying them was the sound quality. The bass response was absolutely amazing. The balance seemed perfect, and I honestly hadn't heard anything better in a long time. Although they aren't specifically meant for audio production, they have faired me well for the last year or so. I would definitely recommend these headphones for people in a similar situation.
