Superb bargain earphones with great sound

I was dubious about buying a set of earphones just for sport use, so I headed out on a run/walk with my iPod in toe. What a nightmare, every time I jogged the Apple earphones fell out. I had the cord tucked inside my jacket and it kept pulling, so I gave up and finished my session with no sound and just left the earbuds dangling.

On my search for some replacements that were more suitable, I found these. The Sennheiser LX70 in a flashy green colour. They were discounted to £7.99 on play.com so I snapped them up, as it seemed like a bargain.

When they arrived, I was out the same day, jogging with them. They come supplied with three different sized attachments for different sized ears. The medium sized ones were perfect for me. They are a little fiddly to put on (until you get used to them). The band sort of goes toward the back of your head and the earbud part just sits in your ear nicely, not too far in, so nice and comfortable. The cord is a nice length and they also come with a plastic case for storage.

Sound quality is really good. A great improvement over the standard white iPod ones. Very clean and a decent amount of bass, though a little lacking in detail. It is also very nice that they do not block out all of the outside world. When jogging, you can still hear cars etc. which I feel is important.

So, did they fall out whilst jogging? No, they stayed in place. Job done, sorted, and I am very happy with how comfortable and useful these little wonders are.
