Advantages: Great sound, look very modern, new technologies

Disadvantages: Poor sound isolation

Sennheiser make a wide range of headphones and are renowned for being one of the best headphone and speaker producers in the world, they are masters of the sound industry. I recently bought this set from Amazon for £30. In the review I will give you the ups and downs that you will experience using this particular set of cans.

Obviously, as it's Sennheiser, the sound quality is excellent, the bass is very strong and the quality is clear and sharp. The sound quality is above average in my opinion for this price range, it performs well.

It has to be said that these are very stylish and modern headphones. Sennheiser has tried to include many of their newer technologies into these headphones, and many of them are great. If you look at the picture above you will see what looks like another speaker above the main speaker, this is actually a device to keep the bud in your ear. To use it, all you have to do is insert the earphone into your ear and twist the bud at the top until it is comfortable, it makes a sturdy fit.

Also you will see what looks a belt clip along the wire. It is not actually, instead it is a very clever sound control, to use it you simply slide the gold part up and down, very clever and stylish, it looks much better than a normal external control, it actually took me a while to realise what it was!

Included are many different types of interchangeable buds. These are very helpful and I would not normally have expected them from headphones costing £30, a nice add on feature.

The only problem I have with these headphones is the sound isolation, which is not very good. The buds mentioned earlier are also designed to help with the isolation, but appear to be ineffective. This is a problem as for £10, you could invest in a set of CX300s, with far better isolation.

All in all I still think these are a good set of buds, they sound and look great, and they also incorporate many new headphone technologies and ideas. They are great in most instances, but maybe not on a public bus. For that reason, I am giving these a fair 4 stars.

Summary: It's a shame that these do not keep out sound well, they could have been a huge hit
