Advantages: Great earphones for sport!

Disadvantages: Not so good for listening lying down

The Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II earphones are excellent. I bought a pair about a month ago to use with my ipod while out running. They fit very comfortably and do not budge during my runs. This is from someone who has never been able to find a comfortable set of in the ear earphones in his life. I must have somewhat funny shaped ears!

The earphones are kept firmly in the ear by a neckband that goes over the back of the ears and round the back of the neck. This system works fantastically and is very comfortable. Before buying the product one worry was how the design may have been uncomfortable or impractical if wearing a wooly hat or hoody. I can confirm that the neckband is designed to fit close enough to your neck not to interfere with these items of clothing.

The sound is good (while not blocking out all the noise so you can still here those cars when crossing the road). The yellow colour of the PMX 80 is a vast improvement on the previous model PMX 70's horrible green in my opinion. They also have a reflective strip on the back of the neck band to add visibility to you when out running.

The one downside to this product if I was pressed to find one, is that due to the back of the neck design these earphones are not so comfortable if you are listening to stuff lying down as the neckband pushes against the pillow/cushion your head is against. But then again the clue is in the name The Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II. You are buying these for sport aren't you so what are you doing lying down!

Summary: They are marketed as earphones for sport and they work great!
