These bargain headphones will blow you away! (Sennheiser PX 100)
Member Name: alexhowel
Advantages: Sounds amazing, compact and sturdy Disadvantages: Not so great in noisy places. Leaks noise, so you won't be popular in quiet places either! I'm on my second pair of these now after my first pair finally gave up after around 5 years solid use. I first heard about these headphones after they received rave reviews in What Hi-fi, and at £25 (at the time), I thought what have I got to lose? At first I was disappointed with the sound quality, but I later discovered that this was because I was using them in the car, and because of the open design of the headphones, they aren't much good at blocking out external noise. After listening at home, I was blown away. To this day I am often torn between these headphones and my (not inexpensive) Hi-fi. The folding design is very innovative and makes them extremely portable, without making the headphones too weak- in fact, they are surprisingly sturdy. Nowadays, a pair of PX 100s can be picked up for around £15 on the internet, and for the sound quality improvement on the standard factory supplied headphones is without a doubt worth every penny! Summary: Without a doubt, this is the easiest way to improve the sound quality of your mp3 player.
