Advantages: Clear sound, easy to transport, durable

Disadvantages: None really

As someone who has worked in a call centre, there's nothing worse that having 'achey' ears from an ill-fitting headset/headphones. Earphones for me just aren't comfortable, and over-head and over-ear headphones just aren't practical for day-to-day portable music listening.

This is where the Sennheiser PX100s come in. They are neatly foldable into a case designed to protect them, which means they are easily transportable, but due to their modest size, they are also pretty unobtrusive. This means you don't feel like an idiot wearing them, and equally people don't think the same when walking past you, as they may if you were wearing some 1980s style DJ headphones whilst ambling through the local town.

The sound quality is not to be sniffed at either. Crystal clear clarity coupled with a slightly bassy (as opposed to tinny) sound meaning unless your mp3 player is bad quality, you are on to a winner for sound quality. The only downside is that in certain surroundings, people can hear your music as well. To some people it's public radio, but to others, it's an annoyance you should be aware of.

The price is not too expensive, but you know you're buying a good quality headphone. After 18months, my pair are still in very good condition, despite them having to do their lions share of travelling!

Summary: A nice mid-range between rubbish ear phones and top of the range headphones
