I bought these headphones when I was looking for somehting that was good quality as well as not too expensive. On both counts they have delivered!
These headphones have very good sound quality and greatly reduce the ambient noise going on around the listener. Not only does this mean that quality is improved but also that once can use less volume to drown out other noises, meaning that it is better for your ears. It also means that less sound escapes from the headphones and so you are less likely to annoy those around you! Furthermore, this reduced volume level means that the battery in your MP3 player lasts longer.
On top of this, these headphones fold up, making them far easier to fit in your pocket. This is extremely handy for commuters who need to store things in suit pockets.
The wire connecting the headphones to the MP3 player or walkman could od with being a tiny bit longer in order to be used with rucksacks et cetera, but that is not really a serious problem.
Overall, a very worthwhile product!
I bought these headphones some time ago - I'm not particularly techy, or knowledgeable in the hi-fi area. However, I love my music and had recently bought an iPod, and I've always found 'in-ear' headphones hideously uncomfortable. Sennheiser headphones have a great reputation - I was reliably informed that they're used in recording studios! But I didn't want to be lugging huge headphones round in my bag all day.
After a bit of research, I came up with these. They seemed ideal - lightweight, foldable, and 'proper' headphones.
I've not been disappointed - yes you can pick up cheaper headphones but these have excellent sound quality, they block out alot of external noise, and they fold down pretty small - I agree with the other reviewer that they're a bit tricky to get into the case at first, and the pads are a bit of a snug fit, but this is a small price to pay to be honest. My only criticism is that as they take a bit of a fiddle to pack away, sometimes you tend to just wrap them up and throw them in your back out of the box - which probably isn't a good idea. However, if you don't want to use 'in-ear' headphones, but need something that's small and easily portable, I would definitely recommend these.
Going straight to the point, these PX200 earphones are definitely ideal earphones for whatever your musical tastes may be.
While not being extremely fashionable, they are light, well built and of good quality. One thing to note: with all the fuss and hype of noise cancelling earphones these PX200 do pretty much the same job for a fraction of the cost!!
However here are some quibbles that you should consider before buying a pair:
1. For some reason, and it has been reported by some, your ears feel uncomfortable and hot. This could be down to the leather they use, or perhaps that the headphones fit exactly/generally comfortable on your years.
2. While the sound quality is good, I was left disappointed with the fact that you can pick up the PX100 which is almost as good wrt to sound quality, for a good £10 cheaper. Mind you the overall quality of the PX100 is not as good though e.g. no noise cancelling effect.
3. I feel the storage option is a bit flimsy as the leather on the earpads can catch and tear on the hook of the storage box.
Overall, a much better option for portable music listening when compared to using a 'Supplier's' provided headphone set.
The closed, dynamic, supra-aural PX 200 mini headphones are an ideal choice for mobile audio sources. Their excellent isolation lets you enjoy music without being disturbed or disturbing others. Folded and packed into their rugged transport case, these headphones will accompany you anywhere.
