These Sennheiser headphones are not suitable for the elitist audiophile, however for someone wanting a (really) decent sound on their MP3 player they are, in my opinion, unbeatable. Having tried out the equivalent from Sony I can guarantee that the sound quality on these are superb. This model, rather than the PX 100, has a closed back which, according to the makers, provides a strong, hearty bass. I have to concur with this as the bass comes out with huge texture, never distorting the music however loud I seem to play it.
Furthermore, as an eclectic music listener, these headphones do not suffer in the least from any hissing sound, even when listening to soft or classical music. They are also great for plugging into your computer, providing quality sounds whether watching movies or gaming.
One further key feature is the nifty ability to fold up when not being used. There is almost an aesthetic joy to this as well as being a good feature to ensure no damage.
Sennheiser themselves provide immense quality care too. I have been using theses headphones for a few years now and their customer service was of great use when my pair broke in New Zealand! They immediately exchanged them on proof of purchase with a brand new pair as the damage fell within the 2 year guarantee.
Overall, for the quality and for the price, you can't beat these headphones!
