Advantages: Comfortable, light weight and easy to use.
Disadvantages: None I can think of.
My Dad is hard of hearing, so he uses headphones to watch TV. So only reviewing them for this purpose.
Anyway, he wanted some new wireless ones for his birthday (previously having some Philips SBCHC8850).
The Sennheiser RS 140 Headphones are closed back - which basically means you can't hear any outside noise; and other people can't much (if any) noise coming from the headphones. This was the main reason we chose this model.
Very well made, high quality - superior to the Philips SBCHC8850 he had. The Sennheiser RS 140 aren't as loud - but they are crystal clear (again compared to the Philips SBCHC8850). Enabling my Dad to hear things (such as telephones on the TV/Movie) - which normally would have gone-a-miss.
They are light weight, very comfortable and really easy to set up. Just plug in, charge up headphones and away you go. The base re-charges the headphones when they are docked.
I had read reports of hissing - although I experienced little to no "hiss" even when volume turned up high!
They have volume control and balance toggle on the headphone set.
Not the cheapest headphones on the market - but you get what you pay for ~ and we're really happy with this purchase.
Summary: Bought them for someone hard of hearing - really impressed with them.

- 25/08/09 They were £115 from play.com ~ yes; they are very comfortable for long periods. |

- 24/08/09 £110? I don't feel like your review gives me enough information to justify me spending that kind of money. |

- 24/08/09 How much was it? Is it comfortable on the ears for long periods? |
