Advantages: Sound quality, comfort, sound isolation, customer service
Disadvantages: Possibly could do with slightly heavier cable other than that nothing
An item that is worth the research and worth the price tag. Having spent a large number of hours online and testing out a series of products this still came up top of the league. As an ex-music technician and true audiophile I can honestly say for the general market Shure have covered many of my requirements. The sound is clean and crisp, having tried this on a wide range of genres from D&B and trance through to classical, picking out instruments and tones that normally are otherwise lost. These have been used on a number of forms, CD, mp3 and online radio streams through pc and iphone all of which produce results of a high level.
On a comfort level I often find myself working in a loud office so tend to wear them for extended periods of 3-4+ hours and found I hardly noticed I had them in at any point. A wide range of buds adjust for all environments and the sound isolation is 2nd to none in this price range/market. Build quality is great, only fault would be I would prefer to have a slightly heavier cable as this does tend to move around too much if used in sport or activities. Shure followed up with AMAZING customer support, I misplaced the semi-hard case within a couple of days of having the phones, an email later and a new case was with me within 48hours cost... free.
Summary: Superb, highly recommended
