Advantages: great sound
Disadvantages: rubbish build
Why did I torment myself with gimmick when I should have headed for the known realms of headphones pioneered by the masters such as Sennheiser and Sony.
I needed a pair of headphones for my ipod and after seeing these with their funktastic design and the like I thought why not. The ohmage was good, the look was good, the comfort was good, and when plugged in the sound was good.
Less than a month later the right headphone fell off and to add salt to gaping wound the place I'd bought the headphones from went bust....huzzah! Duct-tape and glue got the right headphone back on but now they were wonky on the head.
Another month later the left came off. Duct-tape and glue again. Now they were two small for my head and sat uncomfortable on my head. I know it seems like I'm a clumsy buffoon but I've known many people who've had this problem.
The build quality on skullcandy's is atrocious and should be avoided. They may look the funk and have the sound to maintain the funk, but give them some wear and they'll drizzle down your side.
Duct-tape on the side of the head aint a good look.
