In the past I never cared what ear phones I had as long as they worked. I bought my Ipod second hand so it never came with any Ipod earphones which I was a little annoyed about because Apple earphones are supposed to be good, So for the time being I always purchased those 99p ones from Argos and Tesco and even went to the pound shop a few times for quick fixes, I have really bad luck with earphones and most technology as I tend to break it easily for unknown reasons, It was in the Christmas sales 2010 when I first purchased a pair of these.

I always break my earphones within months of buying them, and my sister did suggest me buying some Skull candy headphones a long time ago but because of my luck I never fancied buying something so expensive to break within a months time, but in the Christmas sale in HMV certain earphones was marked down from £30 to £17 then to £9.99 and of course I had the money from Christmas so I thought what the hell it's a third of the price i'll see how good they work and last, the employees of HMV said they usually last around 2 years and that I can take out a warrante for £2.99 and if anything happens then they'll get replaced, which for me is brilliant is means I have a cheap pair of expensive earphones that i'll break in a week and will get replaced for free.

The packaging for these is very simplistic and see through which is a good idea, but personally I think they could still cut down on the plastic or even switch the cardboard or something similar which is easier to recycle, they have a nicely fitted compartment for the earphones to sit in and lower down there is another compartment with around 6 rubber spare ends which is extremely handy a they do come off all the time if you fiddle around with them which is what I do, they become quite loose so it's good to be able to put a clean fresh pair on that will stay, however with my first pair of these I forgot and through all the packaging away forgetting they way in there.

I walk with my Ipod in my hand and the wire for these Skull candy headphones is quite long so it means I won't have any trouble with this like other earphones, The sound quality for these is brilliant, I usually have it up full blast but the earphones enhance the sound making it louder and there for I don't need it up full so I can also save the battery life, Because this particular style earphone goes inside your ear that helps it sound even louder and it is very crisp and clear.

My first pair lasted me no longer than 5 months, which was a very big disappointment when I had be reassured they would last over a year at least, but of course I got a replacement like I was told, and I took out a warrente on that pair as well so again if anything happened I could get another free paid, which, three months later I am now needing however I have gone and lost it and now saving up to buy a new pair of these.

Despite them not lasting as long as they should I will not be using earphones by another brand because i'm so impressed with these, so I would recommend getting these although do take out a warente on them!
