Skull Candy have been increasing in popularity in recent years with their audio accessories, namely ear/headphones, with an emphasis on style. Available in so many colours, mostly super vibrant ones, and often sporting adolescent tattoo like designs with skulls, flowers, guns etc on the phones and even on the packaging. I got a pair of red & black ones for about £7 online (often found in bargain bins and on sale on many big brand websites like Amazon & eBay) and thought it was a right bargain, considering it was a large brand and a fair price for what I was led to believe, one of the best pairs of earphone brands, in terms of sound quality, available. At first I thought that I had bought a faulty pair or something because straight out of the packet, mine sounded tinny and hollow with minimal bass - something that was often the main talking point - supposedly brilliant bass - Personally I don't like the new style of earphones (the kind that probe your ear snuggly and make sure you are almost completely oblivious to all outside environmental noise). It is nice though that they come with spare sets of ear buds with 3 sizes for smaller or larger ears.

Turned out I needed to bury the earphones even deeper into my skull to get the 'true' sound quality. Perhaps thats why they're called 'Skull Candy'.. All I know is, for me, it was quite uncomfortable to push them further into my ear canal.. despite that though, I did experience the real sound these were capable of, they were bassy and super clear. Like most, these have a handy little slider that can shorten the length of the speakers. The wire is strong but coils really easily so they can be a bit fiddly. More than capable of delivering music of high and low volumes to a high standard, efficiently and effectively. So there's no doubt that these can provide you with musical bliss you require.. it just comes down to preference of speaker I guess..
