Advantages: Great sound quality, value for money

Disadvantages: Uncomfortable fit, short-ish cable

I have had my Skullcandy Lowriders for around 3 years now, and I have not had problem with the durability of the product like others have said they have experienced. The cable shows no signs of wear, although it can become tangled and often gets snagged on things when being stored away. The length of the cable is slightly an issue as it is a bit short, but not much shorter than standard apple earphones so it shouldn't cause too much of a problem.

The sound quality of these headphones when considered with the price is very good - I have tried many, more expensive headphones which do not have the depth and quality of sound that these Skullcandys can produce. The volume can be greatly adjusted, and the sound does not become 'tinny' even at the highest volumes.

A major downside of these headphones, however, is the fit. After a few hours of wearing, they tend to become uncomfortable and start to feel tight against the ears, yet when first wearing them they feel loose as if they will fall off! The band seems to tug at my hair also, meaning I cannot use these headphones for an extended period of time.

All things considered, with Skullcandy Lowriders you get what you paid for - and more. Slight discomfort is worth it for the sound quality you get. I would recommend these headphones if you are looking for reliable, relatively cheap headphones for occasional use, however for more regular use, it may be better to invest slightly more money for headphones with a better, more comfortable fit.

Summary: Good value for money with great quality, but can be a bit of a pain!
