I never buy expensive headphones now as they always seem to end up broken, either by myself or my daughter, so now I look for headphones for £15 or under so when I came across these for £10, I headed out to Argos to buy them.
About the headphones
Built for comfort and durability these silicone in-ear headphones feature a 1.2 metre cord length giving you flexibility when on the move or working out. These black Sony EX10 headphones are lightweight and stylish yet fit securely in your ear to provide a powerful bass and high resolution treble.
Silicone ear pieces.
1.2m cord length.
I always buy in ear headphones as I don't like the bulky ones over the ears, plus they are easy to pull out without having heavy things around your neck.
You can buy these in pink, black and white. I bought black ones.
Upon opening the packaging I notice these were quite small compare to ones I have bought in the past, I did think because of how tiny they looked they would be flimsy and would probably break within a week. They are very simple looking, The wire is black so it matches the ear buds and it just has sony written on the ear buds, with the letters L and R for which ear they go into. I'm not too sure that if you ordered pink or white what the colour would be of the wire.
The headphones work really well in my phone especially for a £10 pair. They provide a great very clear sound when listening to the radio and music without any fuzziness or crackling.
With these in my ears there's no background noise in the back, as I catch buses this is a great feature for me and definitely well needed.
I have also used these in the laptop and they work just as perfect as the speakers from my laptop.
The length of the wire is perfect, I can have my phone in my jeans pocket and put the headphones in my ears without any wires pulling or the ear buds falling out.
The ear buds fits really well when you put them on the headphones and show no signs of becoming loose or falling off. It came with a spare pair of ear buds which was a bonus as I'm always losing these, so it's great to have a backup. The buds are very easy to get on and off, it's just a gentle push and pull.
In the past I've had some discomfort from some previous headphones when they are in my ears is the buds are too big or small, but I haven't had no problems with these, The ear buds feel very soft in your ears. I just pop them in my ear and they are good to go.
These headphones have lasted me 5 months so far, so I'm very pleased with this. These are great headphones and for £10 you can't really knock the price, especially if you do get through a lot off headphones like me. I will be buying these again.
I am really picky with my earphones for them to be not expensive, have a good bass and the most important of all, I want them to last. I bought these sony in an airport and they were relatively cheap costing around 15 quid, also because they were tax free so I thought it was a good deal for a pair of well designed small in-ear headphones from a make with a not bad reputation.
The packing is always a pain to open, especially if you are in an airport with no scissors or swiss knives, but I think this is an issue with most products. Anyway I started using them and I really liked them. Their quality was not the best but good enough for such a small device.
The annoying thing happened approximately after 3 months when I was just using them regularly while walking the dog or just at home. The left one started having issues with the sound and one day it just stopped working. It was really annoying because they never said they were practically disposable. I was very annoyed at sony and I don't think I would recommend any of their products now.
These were bought to replace my apple headphones in order to find something of better quality. I must say that these are definitely better quality than apple earphones.
They are in ear earphones which means that you actually place them into your ear canal instead of resting in your ear. This is designed to reduce to sound that is lost out of your ear and means that no one else can hear your music. It is also like this in order to give you the best sound experience possible with the music streamed right into your ear. To an extent this does work as you can really hear the music more and means you cant hear what is going on around you.
However, my major problem using these was actually having to put them into my ear. At first i was a bit hesitant because it did feel rather strange but i finally got used to it. The earphones come with different size pads to put onto the earphone for different ear sizes. I found that i had to switch it to the smallest size in order to fit into my ear. (the are three sizes-small, medium and large). Changing the pads is very easy as you just pull of the one that is on and just push on the new one. Once i has done this, i found that it did fit better but the earphones do still have the tendancy to fall out which does get very annoying. I must say though that once they are in they are very comfortable and do give great sound.
I would recommend these to anyone wishing to upgrade from apple but only if you are comfortable with putting them inside your ear.
My previous pair of Sony headphones broke so I was looking for another. I wanted them to be cheap but reliable and with a decent sound quality. And these are what I found! I bought them from Amazon at a reduced price of £8.99 which I thought was very reasonable. As with pretty much all Sony headphones they are very attractive and in general, I was very pleased with their design.
The sound quality is great for what I need the headphones for, which is just listening to my iPod while walking around. To me, the bass is pretty good which is how I like it!
The headphones come with three sets of ear buds; small, medium and large so they should fit into anyone's ears?! One upside to the headphones is the L shaped input which means when it's plugged into my iPod, it won't snap or anything which is a problem I had with a previous pair of headphones which were just straight-they broke in my pocket!
The wires are quite prone to tangling but the only headphones I've experienced that don't tangle are the Dr.Dre in ear headphones, so I am not too bothered by this. The only problem I have encountered with these headphones is that my iPod randomly stops playing when they are moved about in the jack. At first, I thought this was a fault with my iPod but then I tried it in my brother's and the same thing happened so this might be something to consider although it may only be for iPod Classics.
