      Great set of headphones

As I have mentioned in a previous headphones review I am a big music fan and the thought of leaving the house without my IPod and a set of headphones is unthinkable. Whether it is a walk to the local shops, a bus journey or long distance travel, I always have my music playing.

I mostly buy Sony headphones and have tried lots of different styles over the years. Yesterday my super reliable £9.99 headphones went the way of many of their predecessors and the sound disappeared in one ear. Maybe I am too rough with them or I am intermittently deaf in one ear. This is my favorite style and they fit comfortably over the ear. They are ideal for exercising or anything that involves lots of movement or stretching as they are secured around your ear and will not fall out. A clip on the wire also allows to to be attached to an item of clothing which helps prevent you from getting them tangled.

At around £20 they are not cheap and hopefully I will get allot of use out of them. I tend not to play my music too loud so I have never had much of a problem with distorted sound, except in some shoddy pound land emergency backup headphones. The same is true of these and the bass does not cause any unusual buzzing noise which can be off-putting. The length of the cable is pretty standard and allows me to put my IPod in any one of my pockets and hold the device at arms length if required.

Very comfortable, little pricey but ideal for the active listener.

I try and go to the gym every day and to make this more interesting I need music! I found that with most earphones that I had would fall out when I was running, which really does not help. I went on a mission to find some over the ear headphones that would stay in during my workout and I found these bad boys.
They are a little fiddlely to get into place but when they are in, they are pretty much in. The music sounds good, but maybe not as clear as it could be. Their design means that they are comfortable and you almost forget that you are wearing them. The lead is also longer than your average headphones and they have a clip, which is useful so the wire does not dangle in the way or get lost in your clothes.
Overall they are great exercise headphones and even for general on the bus wear.

Perfect for fast movement and high-impact workouts, the MDR-AS40EX active style headphones give you the option of using the detachable soft hangers when the going gets rough or just the earbuds for mild activity. Either way, you'll appreciate the crisp sound with rich bass and the moisture guard that wicks sweat away from the speakers. Three earbuds are included (S, M, L) to ensure the most comfortable fit.
