Advantages: Solid hold, thin and light, good sound
Disadvantages: non-adjustable cord
These headphones really were a revelation for me, and probably one of the best things Sony has produced.
It does not mean they are the best headphones in the world, but they perfectly fit their particular niche. I use these as my exercise headphones - they band is light and unintrusive, but keeps a firm hold on the buds which avoid the sweatiness and bulk of regular earphones. I often had problems with bud earphones falling out walking around, let along running, so these worked really well in this role - you can do pretty much anything and they will barely wobble in place.
The band is semi-flexible, so you don't need to worry too much about mistreating it, and it springs back into position if bent.
The sound quality is good. Although it's never going to match high end headphones, the silicone buds do a good job at keeping the worst of the exterior noise out. The bass response is better than most, and has the advantage of being held in a good position in your ear so you don't need to whack the volume up to get a full sound.
There aren't really any drawbacks to this product. If there is one, it might be nice to be able to reposition where the cable attaches to the headband, but that's about it.
Summary: A near-perfect sports headphone.
