Advantages: bass, Bass!, and more BASS!!

Disadvantages: Damn my stupid shaped ears!, re-adjusting, maybe some kind of bad for your hearing thing...

Well these babies certainly set you back some, and the main question here is "are they worth it?"

Great quality sound pumped staight into you rinner ear may sound like a great idea but is this the case in practice?

I bought a pair of these 'phones to replace some crappy ones that came with my minidisc player and just weren't doing it justice.

My first gripe is that only the version with the long cord can be bought in the uk, as opposed to the short cord (specially for minidisc to join to the in cord controller) ones in asia, fair enough probably because of the minidiscs popularity over there.

Now the main plus point is that the bass is fantastic with these headphones, and there is much less external noise with these buds than with a normal pair of in ear 'phones.

The sealed back is the major reason why the bass is so good but although this is the case the background noise can still be heard unless at higher volume.

Sound quality overall is good but suffers slightly at lower levels. The penalty for having such good bass is that the mid-higher range sounds are not as crisp.

The other negative is that they KEEP FALLING OUT OF MY EARS!!! Maybe i have freaky ears or something, i dont know and they do come with two sizes of plug, but they always seemed to fall out or need constant re-adjusting to get the best sound.

Maybe the constant need to want the volume turned up to a maximum all the time because the bass sounds so good is bad for your ears?

That case is pretty nifty too although there is no room for the cable...

Overall i would say that the overall sound quality and performance at all volumes does not justify the price paid.
