From my personal knowlewdge i think that these ear phones are the best on the market. From being marketed by sony alone makes them have a very high standard in its own, and the price tag involved is an indication to the quality of these headphones. I think that they are very comfortable in the ear as they sit right into the ear making a cushion around the ear to stop other sounds from coming in and disrupting your music. The quality of the music and sound is absolutely outstanding and they give out an amazing bass sound at the same time. However i would have to say that they are quite expensive and this type of headphone can be found for under £5 on ebay, so if you are searching to buy this product, i would recomend searching around first, before you end up spending a lot of money on this product.
These are Sony's top range earphones, so I know that you are already expecting a very good standard. You will not, in any way, be disappointed.
As with all speakers, I tested them over five tracks of varying audio: classical, spoken word, pop, metal and electronic- these provide a good range of pitch types and dynamic changes. These earphones absolutely blew me away. The classical piece had me feeling as though I was in the Royal Albert Hall- the immersion- the depth- the flow of the music was stunning, I cannot stress what a great experience it was. The spoken word was excellent- just sounded like you were in the room with the speaker. The pop, metal and electronic tracks were also perfect- even though I was trying very hard to hear a flaw, I simply couldn't; a fantastic experience all round. This was the most fun I had ever had testing out earphones.
But it doesn't stop there, no- there's more, much more. These earphones sport a new design, a 'unique vertical in-ear design'- and, although I was skeptical at first, I really liked it. You can hardly feel the mini speakers in your ear. The other great feature is the option of two silicon ear pieces- so users can adapt to their own ears- I opted for the larger of the two (due to the fact that I have worryingly massive ears)- this is a little added bonus that you would expect for £130 on amazon.
That brings me onto price. £130! Although that is a large ask for what most people would think are just the same as the iPod ones, it definitely is not. For those of you who do not know already, Apple's earphones are terrible quality, you should certainly swap them for a better alternative. But £130 is not that bad when you compare these to similar products, and with this level of sound quality, the only viable comparison is Bose- the king of audio. Bose headphones will set you back an eye-watering £300 (at the most). These earphones give exactly the same sound quality as Bose, for a third of the price!
These are now my full time headphones, and I really do look forward to the day when there is a better alternative, because, at the moment, these are the best earphones on the market.
