... and there is very little backgorund noise that gets through. One thing that is missing from these headphones is a volume adjuster. This means having to reach into you pocket to adjust volume on your MP3, maybe slightly trivial but I like having an adjuster on my headphones. Didnt think about it at the time. After only a month of use the Sony print has begin to come off which is a bit disappointing. The shape of the headphone means that they get easily tangled which can cause some problems....more

Premium Review Sony MDR J10: Yay good earphones (364 words)

Just a short review on these earphones. After my bad experiance with the Philips SBC HE590 in-ear head phones which you can read my review on them here http://members.dooyoo.co.uk/headphone/philips-sbc-he590/1056047/ So after much searching and looking for the headphones that best suited my needs i went for these sony ones. For the main reason they had the ear clips, i know there not very fashionable but considering i've just started boxing again after a 18 month layoff due to a hand injury i neede the earphone to stay in my ears. The other reasons was they where sony and to be honest sony don't really make bad ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Great sound and great look. (198 words)

Bought these headphones at duty free and paid 15euros for them so I probably paid a bit extra as they can be bought in the UK for £7 or £8. The headphones fit around your ear comfortably and securely. The headphones are not too noticable when worn like some other round the ear headphones. A feature of these headphones that I like is the fact that the actual earpiece fits in your ear from the side so that the earpiece is at a right angle to you ear. This makes them very comfortable to wear at great lengths of time. Sound quality is excellent and there is very little backgorund noise that gets through. One thing that is missing from these headphones ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sony MDR J10: Great Headphones at a low(ish) price (245 words)
by - written on 27/02/09 (Very useful, 11 readings)

I bought these headphones a while ago to use while cycling. I found them to be both comfy and practical and even though the clip was slightly too large for my ear the in ear speaker part was not. They did not fall out except when pulled hard and never while riding or running. The build quality is up to Sony's usual high standard and endured many months of being stuffed into pockets and rucksacks. They did however break after about a year and a half and even then it was only the plastic that cracked and the speaker part continued to work. The sound quality was superb. If they were improved at all I doubt if most of the people buying them would notice the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cheap but not cheerful... (255 words)
by - written on 22/06/08 (Very useful, 73 readings)
Rating:

Being a fan of earphones that hang on to your ear, and having had trouble with a set that had earbuds that would continually fall off (not to mention a firm belief that you should never spend too much on earphones) I tried these. It falls down on most of its claims. "Comfortable"... no. The rigid plastic design makes putting them on almost painful and the in-ear speaker is so large that it doesn't fit in the ear properly (and my ears are larger than average). "Non-slip" and "Stable" it also fails at. Its inflexible nature makes it poor at holding to the outside of your ear, and the large speaker makes it poor at gripping to the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sony MDR J10: An excellent headphone (151 words)
by - written on 01/06/08 (Useful, 34 readings)
Rating:

After finding regular headphones very uncomfortable I bought these with my first MP3 player and have never looked back. The sound quality is excellent, and due to the design no noise is transmitted outside your own ears so you won't disturb anyone around you; I even use them in the library! They are incredibly comfortable and the design is stylish. They do look a bit bizarre in comparison with normal headphones, which might put some people off, but for exercise they are second to none as they never fall out. The only downside to these headphones is their tendency to break. I am on my second pair in as many years, as the hooks can break quite easily, eg if trod upon. ...  Read the complete review
