Advantages: Low price and look the part.

Disadvantages: Bad build quality and bad sound quality.

I bought these headphones as a replacement for my damaged Apple headphones that come with your iPhone or iPod just for a temporary replacement because they were on offer for £9.99 which is a very reasonable price for a pair of headphones especially with a brand name like Sony.

Before using the headphones the first thing you notice is the design and build of them. They definitely look the part considering the low price they have a fully plastic frame and then on each headphone they have a silver circle which has a strange sort of textured mirror effect on it which looks pretty cool. The problem I have though is that although the headphones look the part they definitely feel very fragile compared to others available but I suppose they have to keep the production value down to reflect in the low price but I definitely would be very careful putting them in a bag for a day or something like that. The next problem I have with the design is the wire not to do with the quality of it though but to do with the actual length for me it's literally about 5 cm too short if I was using it with my iPhone and I would put the phone into my trouser pocket there would be very little slack on the headphones and when I lift them off my head it would sometimes lift my phone out my pocket. The final problem I have with the headphones is the fit of them when you wear them they feel very loose when you have them on and I would find that with any sort of sudden head movement they could slip down and I tried all the different adjustments on each side and I still couldn't find a good point where it felt like it was sitting nicely against the sides of my head.

The final thing to mention is of course the sound quality the first thing I notice is the volume which seems to be very quiet I would find myself turning it up to double the volume that I would usually have my iPhone at just to achieve a good volume. For actual sound quality there definitely seems to be heightened treble accompanied by almost no bass at all even when adjusting the EQ settings it just seems that the bass is not there at all resulting in music sounding very flat and sometimes tinny.

I have given 3 stars purely because of the low price tag and the fact the design is nice.

Summary: Cheap headphones to buy but definitely shows in the quality.
