Advantages: clear sound and professional

Disadvantages: none

These headphones are great and trusted by many professional djs. I love these headphones with large driver units and a class crome finish. They are well better than the rest.

In my number one needfulls in headphones is comfort. I have to have comfortable headphones or it would distract me djing. So with these headphones they have closed back cups and comfortable and spongy around the cups too.

Now for the technical talk they have 5-30,000hertz frequency response and 50 ohms impedance and also 50mm drivers. This gives the sound coming through the headphones a clean clear cut sound of the music.

The jack adapter which is the plug in is 6.3 mm and 3.5mm gold plated. The cups swivel and can be adjusted for comforted and also nice padded cups.

It is also good because it has 1.2m replacable cable and a free carry bag included depending on were you buy your product. i bought my headphones on line a year ago and threw the wear and tear they are still going as good as new. They are like anything you have to look after them. I bought them online for hundred and thirty pound. I just trust and love technics. I would not use any other make.

Summary: a great product again from technics

Good review. Im a fan of Philips head phones - long 6 metre cord and apt for DJing only Im not a DJ but find it handy to travel between electric guitar, drum kit and electric keyboard. Although the tech spec is good I'd like to know what kind of sound do these headphones reflect without pre-amp sounds from music devices? Do they have bass built in, are they too bright with tone or just right?

Also do they fold away even though some stockists give a free bag? Are they heavy and bulky?
