Advantages: Very reliable, very DJ friendly and kick-ass bass sound

Disadvantages: Bit heavy on ears and struggling on highs and mids

Well... These were my first DJ headphones and I have to admit it was a great start!
In general they have great sound quality, very (and I mean VERY!) strong bass but a bit flat on highs and meds. This means they will be great for beat sync but you might struggle slightly with precision on melodic stuff... and please please don't try it for classical music!
The noise isolation is simply incredible, the only sound you will hear in your ears will be that of music unless you're in a nuclear bomb tryout and that is where the sound will stay.
Although in general the headphones are comfortable and have this really handy option to turn either cup 90 degrees very easily (but you can also fix it not to move!) but the rather small cups get hard on your ears fairly quickly so they are unsuitable for long listening of the music without taking them off. But hey, being a DJ you will put them on and off very often so you can't call it a flaw. I like the lead of these which is long and straight what makes it less heavy and less akward than the spiral ones.
They have a strong build of Technics even though some details might look rather fragile but I had no problems with any of them despite a heave use. The only issue was earpads which got worn in around a year but that was probably due to heavy usage and careless carriage.

Summary: Great for heavy DJ use but not to appreciate the subtleties of music at home

I guess I'd like these because, even at home, I really only listen to club music.
