      in earphones

About 2 months ago our local independent electrical shop sadly closed down. During its final few weeks of trading there were many bargains to be had. I have always used in ear headphones and have gone through quite in my time! My interest was drawn to a pair of expensive looking in ear headphones reduced to £ 65 from the original selling price of nearly £100. The salesman assumed me that these Logitec ultimate ears 600 noise isolating earphones would amaze me by the quality of the sound they produced! I would also be able to use them with my I phone. I decided that these sounded just what I had been looking for and parted with my cash.

      Whats in the box?
The box contained the headphones, 5 pairs of soft cushioned ear buds in different sizes from xx small to large, 2 pairs of foam tips, a shirt clip, hard storage case and instruction leaflet. The earphones come with a 2 year warranty.

      The headphones.
I have been used to using cheap earphones and they have never lasted that long. In addition the sound quality whilst adequate for my taste has never been that good. Having paid a much higher price than I am used to, I was expecting great things from my new purchase!

The first thing that impressed me was the fact that the cord looked thicker than cheaper models. I have usually found it is the cord that is the weakest point with earphones and this cord looked far more robust. The cord is 46 inches long and is designed to allow the earphones to be worn either over your ears or hanging down. It is suggested you wear the earphones over your ears when you are jogging or using the gym. I was also impressed that a hard storage case was provided as soft cases don't provide any protection, especially in my bag!

The medium sized ear cushions fitted my ears perfectly and the ear tips ensure outside noise is kept out. These earphones are designed to block out 26 decibels of outside noise and I really appreciate the difference, especially when I use them on noisy trains! I have also used them on a long haul flight and was impressed with how much of the outside engine noise was reduced.

The controls are located on the cord, something I really like. The controls allow you to adjust the volume, select tracks, answer the phone and end a call. The earphones connect via a jack.

The all important sound quality scores 10 out of 10 from me! The sound produced is rich without having too much bass. I like to listen to a variety of music and it really feels as if I am at a live concert! I really can't praise these earphones highly enough for their sound quality!

These headphones are available from a number of retailers and Amazon is selling them for £89 whilst Play.com has them for £90.99. I certainly got a bargain!

Overall I really cant find anything negative to say about these brilliant earphones! I have now been using them almost on a daily basis for nearly 3 months and they not only appear robust but produce clear quality whilst reducing all outside noise. Highly recommended!
