Let’s start off this hefty review by talking about the design of these headphones, now as they came out in fall 2012, there isn't much difference of how you can judge the style of this design. In my opinion, when I first saw them I fell in love with the design, the sheer matt black compliments well with the hint of silver plated connectors, displaying a sort of ‘JL’ lettering type of logo on each side of the headphones, along with the companies logo ‘WESC We are superlative conspiracy’ on each side of each piece and on the top of the head rest. Distinguishing between left and right there are marks specific to which ear to be placed in, L and R of course, and below the left ear phone there is a plug that comes with a detachable cord. I would say they have tried to create a unisex urban look to these headphones, and that they wanted to change the look to differentiate from their other ranges. When it comes to fitting, as I have a small head it fits me the best on the tightest adjustment. Overall, I think that the design is really sleek, and I like it. Since I can only show a picture of what these look like, I cannot explain what you would see that was also included as I got these second-hand, I can however, direct you to a link with multiple unboxing videos for these products so you can see what it actually comes with, that’s if you are interested in buying this.
Now, I didn't buy this, this was given to me by a friend of my old friend who had given it to me when my headphones were stolen by a sibling. But the online prices range from £11-£29, and I have seen many reviews of this product claiming that when they went to buy it themselves, they were told that these were worth £80-£90. Me, personally, I don’t believe sales assistance telling us this info, as it is just used a marketing strategy to make you think it’s worth a lot in order to increase their sales, sorry, no can do, sales teams.
As these headphones are mainly for the use of hearing crisp BASS, I quite find these to be a disappointment. However, considering that this was given to me for free, I cannot complain about the quality. I could only find that I hear a decent amount of bass when worn while pushing the earphones closer to my ears, which is a uncomfortable thing to do for a while, however, because this offers such a low amount of bass, I think it would be for people with a low taste in bass and more in treble.
I can concur that these are a good set of budget headphone, I don’t agree with the false advertising about the price, it’s not right, but hey, companies have to make money one way or another, even if it means making thousands of people disappointed with their expenses. As long as people do a lot of research and look up a lot of the reviews about that product before buying, which is why I'm delivering this product review to Ciao. These headphones would be perfect for everyday music, for someone who isn't a techy person and just want stylish headphones that work decently, and those looking for something affordable or which aren't a big generic brand such as Beats. Pictures shown below of the headphones, and link for unboxing videos in case you want to see/find out more about this product, will be provided below for your viewing pleasure.
Honestly though… hipsters, stay away! *wink face*

I got these headphones free when I purchased my iPhone last Christmas. I had been wanted a set of headphones like these for a while but had always though that they were rather expensive and a non essential purchase that I couldn''t really justify. Unlike I other earphones there is no danger of these falling out of your ear whilst taking part in physical activity which is why I think these headphones are perfect for use in the gym and when out running. For too long my running has been affected by constantly having to put my earphone back in my ear. They are also comfortable to wear and there is no ear ache like with other earphones such as apple. These headphones provide great sound and drown out background noise that other earphones sometimes fail to do. This is great for travelling on long haul buses or trains. If your are trying to watch a film with these headphones you won''t be distracted by other passengers. The on,y downside is that they are a bit bulky n don''t fit easily into a handbag. I''d recommend these headphones as they are fabulous and a lot cheaper than other branded products. There is also a button on the cord which is great for switching songs without having to reach for your iPod or MP3 player. This may not appeal to everyone but I love not having to search through my pockets or pick up my phone in the gym, just a quick press of a button n the song changes.
These headphones were a frebbie that my husband got when he bought a phone the other year. Normally if we are buying headphones the type we buy as they are used for commuting and the gym are "in ear" headphones so these gathered dust for a while till we thought about using them with the computer when watching catch up TV and for our son to use with a portable DVD player in the car. As neither of us are DJ's or music fans that have very specific needs to have a bass amplified it is hard to talk about the benefits of either of these to us.
The headphones that we have are a black colour with silver coloured metal detail. The headband section at the top of the headphones is nicely padded and never feels as if it digs into either my head or anyone else in the family. The ear pieces are also wonderfully padded and are comfortable to wear for hours at a time and none of us have experienced any digging into the side of the face or head with them. These are also nice and large and cover easily the ears of myself and my husband. This padding also cuts out any sound coming out and the headphones never seem to leak sound as it were for us to hear so we always have to check at times that our son hasn't turned the volume up and is deafening himself. The metal sections on the side to adjust the height of the earpieces are easy to use and stay in place well and never seems to move from where you want them to be. One of the features we all like is the fact that one of the ear pieces swivels off its axis now this is I am sure so those DJ'ing can listen to the turntable and music. But what we all find it great for is to lift and move an ear piece so we can have a short bit of conversation whilst still listening to what we are watching and without having to take the whole earphones off which I know is a bit lazy but it works well for us.
The jack on the headphones fits easily into both our computer speakers and the portable dvd player without any problems. This is a 3.5mm Jack which I have to admit means very little to me but a rudimentary internet search assures me that this fits into most music devices. They say the plug is gold plated to improve the sound quality weather this does the trick or not it is hard to say but we have never not being able to get clean crisp sound via the headphones.
There is an extension cable that can increase the length of the headphones now this is something we never really use but I think it could be a handy feature for some people. I have tested and compared the sound quality for the review with the extension on and I have to say I can't spot any difference with it on or off which is great.
Sound wise we are listening mainly to TV via the computer and DVD's with these rather than music and the quality of the sound I can't quibble with and it certainly is very clear and crisp with no distortion at all. I have listened to some music with the headphones and I can't find fault with them as the music various levels sounds great to me. However I am more an easy listening style of music listen such found on radio 2 or Classic FM so some of the bass levels that the headphones are marketed at I have to admit I don't fully understand and it is perhaps not relevant to my style of music. But what I do know is that the music I have listened to has sounded great with neither the vocals being too loud nor the rest of the music sounding out of balance.
The headphones are nice and robust and have coped well with being dropped sat on and tugged without any damage at all and from this point of view I do prefer these to our usual ear bud type of headphones as they seem to be lasting longer.
Overall we are very happy with these headphones they are comfortable to wear give good sound quality for our needs. When we got them on promotion as a freebie they were claimed to be worth £90 now I personally would not pay that for these or any headphones and would say at that price that they are not worth the money. However I have yet to see them at that price anywhere and have found that they do retail at around £14 on amazon and at that price I think they are a good buy for our needs and I would give them 4 stars for that price.

I got these headphones as a freebie with a deal for my phone contract at Christmas: I've always wanted a pair of on ear headphones and have never been able to part with the money needed to buy a decent pair, so I was really excited then I realised that they came free! Over the years of me having my own MP3 player I've had so many pairs of in ear headphones and found something wrong with all of them: the Apple iPod ones always seemed to rip due to their material and other brands I've bought have just cut out in one ear for no reason.
Hopefully I'll never have to deal with that again now I have these! Retailing at anywhere between £40 and £90 depending on the shop they are definitely an expensive investment and much more than an average pair of in ear headphones. But the sound quality is amazing compared to in ear ones: when I first used them I was shocked at how good it was! I've heard so many parts of songs using these that I've never noticed before and as a lover of music, I was so excited to!
These are called Bass DJ and it is obvious: songs with a strong bass line in them sound second to one through these: I'm not a huge fan of chart music much but I'll actually listen to songs like that through these cause the quality's so great. Going back to my lousy HMV £5 in ear headphones after these is always such a disappointment!
I wouldn't even use in ear headphones anymore, apart from the inevitable fact that these are pretty big and hard to store when you're not using them. They don't fit in an average handbag whereas in ear ones, you can shove them anywhere. Some types of on ear headphones have hinges inbuilt so that you can store them better but these don't and I'd definitely say that's a disadvantage that keeps me from solely using these.
Also, as much as I love the sound quality, the design to me isn't the best. The silver side adjusters stick out a bit from the side of my head, and since my head is quite small compared to the headphones, they stick out a lot. Also, I wouldn't have chosen the colour white since I much prefer black headphones, but since they came free, I can't really complain. One thing I really like about the design is that the brand WeSC is written on the sides and the top in a shiny white colour and therefore can only be seen if light is reflected onto it: I feel that this is a subtle way to show that it is a branded product but doesn't shout at people to declare it.
I've had them since Christmas and they definitely seem sturdy and like they're going to last, which I feel is a good quality considering the price. Also, the cushioned part of the headphones is really comfy and even when wearing them for long periods of time doesn't annoy me or start to feel heavy. On the R side as well the circle rotates meaning that you can keep the headphones on and move one side off your ear if you want to talk to people, for example. I found this out accidentally and thought I'd broken them, but this was a great surprise! There is also a Play/Pause button inbuilt into the wire which is useful, and they also came with an extension wire so that they work with phones etc.
Basically, I love these headphones and am so glad I was given them as a freebie! The sound quality is brilliant and definitely makes up for their flaws.
