When buying these headphones I was a little bit skeptical considering the price tag on them. I thought that you cannot get good sound quality from headphones under $100 and since these are only a quarter of the price I was sure of poor sound quality. Anyway I decided to buy them nevertheless since my main headphones (Beats solo) broke not too long ago and I needed replacement headphones which would not cost me the earth. Thank God I found the Wesc Conga in time or I might have brought another pair of Beats for 4 times the price!
The sound quality was sharp and the bass did not disappoint. You could wear these headphones for hours and not feel the slightest discomfort whatsoever. Combine that with the stylish Wesc design and you have the perfect headphones.
If you are looking for a paid of headphones that you can use on a day-to-day basis without being laughed at by others these are definitely worth buying. I would recommend them to anyone who travels a lot by plane and is sick of using the on board painful in-ear headphones.
So before you go out buying the most expensive headphones you can get thinking the more expensive the better, don't give these a miss just because of the price, you will be pleasantly surprised!
I decided to pay for a decent set of headphones to use with my laptop. I tend to sit on my laptop at night once or twice a week listening to music and my iPhone headphones tend to hurt my ears after a while and the sound quality isn't great.
These headphones cost me around £25 so they aren't the cheapest but the quality and the sound is worth it. I was only planning to spend around the £15 mark but decided on these after trying a pair in the shop and realising how comfortable they were.
The sound quality is great and this is enhanced by the way they block out background noise. I wad really astounded at the difference between these headphones and my cheap iPhone headphones.
The headphones are extremely well built and feel very sturdy. By spending extra I now feel that I have a premium set of headphones. These headphones are very comfortable to wear and even after wearing them for a few hours, there is no pain or discomfort.
You can also get them in a number of colours, I opted for black as they really stand out and look great.
They also don't feel too bulky which I was worried about with going for an "over head" version. One of the main reasons for me going for the over head style of headphones is for the fact that headphones similar to the iPhone headphones hurt my ears after a while, this style does not!
I wouldn't wear these when at the gym or running due to the size but for indoors with my laptop they are perfect.
Maybe they are overkill for what I use them for but I won't need to purchase any more for a good few years and the sound quality is phenominal. They block background sound out great aswell which is a major benefit.
I have always had trouble finding in ear headphones as they always fall out (I think my ears are just a weird shape), so I decided to go for overhead ones. I'm glad they have come back into fashion as I find you get a much fuller sound from headphones like this compared to small in ear ones.
So when I went looking for headphones I tried on several different ones in the shops, I was looking around the £30 mark and there was a handful to choose from. I went with these in the end as they were the ones that fitted the best. Others were just too big and even on the smallest 'setting' were sitting very low on my ears. I preferred the sound of some others in the shops but overall these sound good for what I use them for and the fit was kinda important to me as well. Also, they come in all sorts of funky colours, not just the black as pictured. I went for a bright purple.
So anyone who is really into their music and sound quality and gadgets would probably tell me off for choosing them for the fit and colour first but you know what, I'm no expert when it comes to 'sound quality'. I use headphones to listen to music on the way to work, on the train, on the bus, sometimes at home in bed. To me the sound is good, much better than cheaper in ear headphones, it sounds fuller and I don't disturb anyone around me. They do the job!
They weigh 147g and are fairly compact so I can carry them around in my bag easily. They've been thrown around in my bag loads and are very sturdy. No sign of scratches, outer wear or anything yet.
They have a 3.5mm gold plated jack and can therefore be used with any smartphone or tablet. And the cable is about 1.5m long so plenty long enough, in fact I have tied mine in a knot as I often have my ipod clipped to my top and I don't want the cable hanging down.
They are nicely cushioned which is great in the winter as it keeps your ears warm, not so much in the summer, I always end up with sweaty ears when it's really warm outside.
Overall I would say they are great every day headphones for people with smaller heads and for children, as they also come in great colours and at around £25 - £30 are very affordable.
