The Aliph Jawbone 1 is a very cool looking bluetooth headset indeed. I purchased one a few years ago for use in the car. The jawbone 1 is quite large and feels different to all the other headsets i had owned previously. It is quite comfortable, but the white rubber bit needs to be touching your face to work correctly, and feels odd at first. The device connected to my phones very easily as would be expected, and i was happy to find it worked just as well with my playstation 3 (some headsets dont like consoles at all).
By far the best feature is the noise cancellation ability. Turned on by default it removes background noise so the caller can only hear you! This means other people shouting in the background, TV, radio etc can only be heard at your end. I was dubious at first but then i phoned up a friend and spoke for a minute. I then turned on the vaccuum cleaner and continued. Amazingly he didnt hear a thing! When i told him about it he didnt beleive me and so i had to prove it. Very impressive indeed. Not the cheapest headset available true, but you get what you pay for.
The only real fault i found with the device was the earloops. They are rather flimsy things and i snapped 2 very early on. they are specific for left/right etc, but can be bent to fit differently.
I have since bought the Jawbone II and will review this next.
