Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic
Advantages: easy to use, can be used with a variety of products
Disadvantages: not very comfy, expensive
I love listening to my ipod and my iphone and unless I want to be one of those annoying people on the bus who wants everyone to hear my music headphones are a necessity. The headphones that I have been using for a little while are the apple headphones with remote and mic, simply because they came with my iphone.
As with all apple headphones these are very distinctive in that they are white in colour with grey and silver detailing.
What makes these headphones different from normal apple headphones is the rectangle remote which is held onto the wire. This remote has 3 buttons which can be pressed do conduct numerous tasks; the plus button, the minus button and the central button.
One thing I have fond with these headphones that annoys me slightly is the wire. When I am not using the headphones I like many other people will wrap them either around the device or just wrap them around themselves to keep them neat and tide. With these headphones the wire seems to remain permanently misshapen after doing this.
**Using the headphones**
Obviously the main purpose for headphones is to listen to your music. I have found the sound quality of these headphones to be excellent. You can hear everything perfectly without any distortion. There have been some days when I have just thrown these in my bag and they still look and sound great. I have used cheaper headphones in the past and after a while the sound begins to get fuzzy but not with these.
The remote control for the headphones is very easy to use and self explanatory. You can use the buttons to control the noise level of your music, change tracks and play or pause as you wish.
Although I personally do not like using hands free kits as I think you can look a bit strange walking around talking to yourself, you can do this with this head phone kit. The microphone is fairly small and well hidden on the back of the control but I have tested it and the sound is also of a good quality.
I think this is a downfall with apple headphones in general as I am not a missive fan after trying a couple of products and I know I have read reviews also relating to this.
They are certainly not the most comfortable ear piece to wear and seem to be really big in my ears. The size and the fact that they are made of hard plastic makes them quite a nuisance to wear.
They are tolerable and I have been using them more regularly due to the remote control but I have to say I prefer other products.
These headphones are compatible with all ipods, iphones and ipads.
These headphones are available priced at around £26.00 so they are quite expensive for what they are.
If you would like a set of headphones with a control for reasons such as example going to the gym then these are great. However, if you just want a normal set of comfy headphones then get a cheaper pair as these just are not worth it.

Summary: An expensive set of headphones
