Jabra's products are usually of a high standard, amongst the best in the market, and this is no exception. The call quality, for both the user and the other person is fantastic, and the battery life is also very good as well. The build quality is also very good, and the headset is comfortable to wear. However, it does cost more than similar products on the market, but for advanced users the extra cost is worth it.
First, the packaging is really good, as it provides lots of information that is clear to read, and also protects the product. The box is easy to open, with no hard plastic that you can struggle to cut. The included instructions are very clear, and easy to understand. They give you all the information you would need.
The design is the product is really good, and the unique design makes it really comfortable. It fits in the ear really well, and stays there. The buttons are also in good places, making the device easy to use. The buttons added include a power button, which can also be used to accept and hang up on calls. The volume buttons are also great, as it means you don't need to use your phone.
The build quality of the device is really good, as it feels solid. Even after lots of use, and a few drops, it works really well, and is intact. The device has a great battery, which is longer than similar products, and is also quick to charge.
It is easy to pair the headset with your mobile phone, as you just follow the directions in the included instructions.
The sound quality of the speaker is really good, which means that you can hear the other person, with crisp clear sound. It is just as good as using a mobile phone. The quality of the microphone is terrific, which means that the other person can hear you really well, with no distortion. The noise cancellation is also really good, much better than other products as the other person will still be able to hear you if you are in a loud area.
The cost of the headset may be more than other products, but the fantastic build quality, and the noise cancellation that other headsets lack, it makes it worth the extra. It is also more comfortable.
When compared to other Jabra headsets, such as the BT125 or BtT040 this is a much improved, and amongst the best in the market. First, the design is amongst the best, as it isn't constantly coming out of your ear. It is also more comfortable to wear, since it 'moulds' into your ear, however, for some users it might not be the right size. Other users have reported that the gel part can fall off, but I have had no problems. Also, the battery is much bigger than these units, lasting at least 2-3 hours more than the BT2040 and twice as long as the BT125. You can also walk further away from the mobile phone compared to the other headsets, as the range is a lot further. This is more convenient, as usually I wouldn't remember and I would sometimes drop the call using the BT125.
Through testing, it works really well with the W810i, and is fine for use with the PS3. However, on the PS3, you don't get the notifications systems such as when the headset is connected. Also, the volume controls didn't always work when connected to the PS3. Occasionally, when I connected the BT125 to one device, it would forget the other device and wouldn't connect. However, this works fine for both.
Overall, a good headset that is worth the extra over similar products.
A must for the travelling sales person or any one else requiring to make calls whilst driving. This light weight headset is very good. Easy to pair with your mobile phone. Once paired you can set it to automatically connect upon power on. It comes with a few soft rubber ear pieces of different lengths The ear piece is one which pushes into the ear, with the actual headset clipping over and behind the ear. After wearing it for a while you forget you are wearing it, it's that comfortable. Sound quality is very good and the headset comes complete with a volume control so there is no need to even touch your handset. Voice activated dialing phones mean you can connect and dial all by pushing the button on the headset. Battery life is very good. The headset comes with a cradle which you also use to charge the headset, connected either by a mains adapter or 12v car adapter. An all round quality headset one of the best I have used.
I work as a sales manager in the pharmaceutical industry, so my job involves lots of long car journeys. The law has now changed with regards to being caught using your mobile phone whilst driving and the penalty is 3 points no arguments! For this reason alone it is really rather sensible for anyone who needs to drive for their job to get a headset as a ban = no job!
The other reason to use these headsets is if you are concerned about mobile phone ear burn! If I am on the mobile for a length of time without using a headset i get a heated ear and a burning itchy feel down towards the eardrum; i'm not concerned about radiation but this cant be good!
The Jabra headsets i use are Bluetooth, which basically means that you can connect wirelessly to your mobile phone ( if it is compatible). A password is required to set this up so that anyone cant just connect to your bluetooth device! To use this device it clips over your ear & then the silicone earbud fits snuggly into your ear.
I have had Jabra headsets for the last 6 years for the simple reason that the sound quality for both you & whomever you are talking to is very good. Too many times i've spoken to people with cheap headsets which if they are driving on the motorway i struggle to hear; no such issue with the Jabras.
The great advantage to this particular model is that the battery life is very good, the 200 model i think you only get a few hours of battery life whereas for this 250 you are up to 8 hours.
Headsets are essential now for anyone driving & wanting to use a mobile & I would certainly recommend this model of Jabra headset.
This model is also pretty indestructible; the amount of times ive dropped it, stood on it & yes there is a small crack on it now, but this hasn't affected the device at all. You will pay more for a Jabra but then the quality of make will last you for years if you want it to, whereas a cheaper bluetooth headset will probably frustrate you so much that you will want to bin it & buy another pretty quickly!
A charger comes with this headset that you plug into the mains in your house. You can also take the mains adapter off the cradle & attach the older Nokia car charger to the cradle for use in your car.
