This is a good value headset for using on computers using mic and headset plugs. As a headset, it provides stereo sound and and adjustable microphone for capturing speech.
The headset is made of simple matt black plastic all around, thicken in size nearer the top of the headset to give more comfort for longer use. Both arms of the headset are adjustable for length so that you can get a better fit for even the most uneven of ears. The adjustable microphone adjust for height in a four preset angles, the lowest and highest being the only useful settings for when you need to use the mike or store it upwards away from your face, but it can angle closer or farther from your mouth with gentle manipulation.. The microphone and the ear parts are covered in a nice thick black coloured foam. On the ears, this reduces fatigue so that you can wear them for longer and on the end of the mic, it provides enough insulation from wind noise when you are speaking, with this I have no trouble in being heard.
Oddly the two plugs are coloured pink and black rather than red and green. But they do have little pictures on them so you can which goes where ( black = sound, pink = mic).
The packaging the headset came in says Skype certified and this is what I use the headset for, making video calls. By using a headset, I am able to make calls in a louder environment or when sharing a room and I don't want to disturb others too much. The sound they deliver is decent for voice calls, but I would only use them to listen to music or hear a film if I didn't have a decent pair of earphones otherwise.
A solid 4 rating for these for doing what they should, and lasting well.
