Advantages: Good quality microphone and speakers, good price.
Disadvantages: Could be more compact.
This product is one of those things that does what it says on the tin. No more, no less.
After buying and using this product for several months for Podcasting, Recording and other things, I can say that it is a pretty sturdy bit of equipment.
The headset is quite chunky, not great if you want an item that folds away neatly. It is very comfortable when worn, and the 'leather' and foam protection which make up the ear pads definitely do their job. On some headsets there is the problem of the ear pads wearing away after prolonged use, this does not apply to this item, it is very high quality.
The headset has a USB connection cable, which can be connected to any device with a USB port, these include PCs, gaming consoles, Laptops etc.
The ear protection does its job very well, blocking out pretty much all background noise.
Usefully, especially in situations when chatting to people over Skype or any other programme, the headset has a mute button, which once pressed, will stop anyone on the other end from hearing what you are saying. The Headset has an input microphone which can be folded up and down according to when you want to speak or not.
The sound quality is also very good, and the volume can also be controlled by a button on the device. The volume is not restricted like in some headsets, so you can deafen yourself with music (if you so wish).
Overall, this is a very good product. I have suggested this item to a friend, and he agrees that this is a very good piece of hardware.
Summary: A Sturdy Headset!

- 17/10/09 I would have to agree with that. I haven't had too many problems though, it does the job pretty well : ) |

- 17/10/09 Problem I find with this one is that your voice isn't picked up as well if it is low due to its noise cancellation feature. |
