Advantages: Cheap, enables to chat on live
Disadvantages: Build quality, poor connectivity, poor sound quality, weak wire, plastic snaps easily
Had a few of these now as they come with the Xbox 360's, Have only just had to buy an actual replacement because normally these used to break roughly same time as the old 360's about a year. But this new Xbox has outlived its previous 3 counterparts, which is a miracle. This of course is an insight into the background of the company your buying from, and how much they think quality is important...
Quality >>>> Sound: abysmal, distorts everyone's voices, no depth, no tone. no external noise prevention, and if your wearing it anyone else in the room will be able to hear everything your mates are saying. So be wary. Plastic quality = atrocious, snaps easily, the mute buttons is a fault magnet, been the root of the problems both times. The jack is terrible and has also broken, the ear cushion is uncomfortable and hard, the wire is too long.
Looks >>> naff, basically. Unless of course you don't want to look like a hardcore pro.
Also everyone i know who has had these, there's have all broken within about 6-9 months, please don't give anymore money to Microsoft.
Invest a bit more money and get some turtle beaches, much better quality.
Definitely would not recommend.
2/10
Summary: Just a poor headset, okay for very casual live usage, 2 stars is generous
