Advantages: Voice command dialing

Disadvantages: Poor fit for me

Good morning to ya. May a glorious day present itself before you. May you drive safely and talk on your cellular phone in hands-free bliss. At least here in NY, USA, if you want to avoid a wopping ticket, you best purchase one of these bluetooth devices. I bought the H500 from Motorola and spent about $79.00 or 39+ pounds. Considering the numerous functions this unit is capable of, it might be pricey and I am sure to have saved another 20-30 dollars if I wasn't so damned impulsive. I bought it to operate with the world famous V3 Razr phone I have owned for about 6 months. Over all, I am pleased but there are a few detractors.

I can, and this is the principle reason I shelled out for this model, call by doing nothing more than touching the main touch button and voice dial stored numbers saved to the phones memory as opposed to the SIMM card. I can have the phone auto answer and disconnect at the ear piece without lifting a finger. But the very first thing I discovered was how clumbsy it is on my ear. I have to fiddle with it to get it just right. This is the primary aspect I dislike. I, like most Homo Sapiens, have relatively normal external ear anatomy yet continue to battle with the device just to get it to sit correctly. There are no adjustments to help fix it to my ear such as bending the rounded, pivoting ear loop. I have to actually pull out my ear from my head and gently jam the end of the loop behind that little bump behind and near the bottom of my ear, either side mind you. If it is not done precisley, I merely turn my head once or twice, perhaps glancing at traffic, and the contraption falls loose making a nuicance of itself in my ear. Other control I hardly bother with like certain audio adjustments such as volume, etc. Once on me it is hardly noticable unless I peek in the mirror.

It charges fast enough-two hours-and keeps a charge for a good 2-4 hours of continuous talk time. It looks harmless enough and since so many of us are using them, I don't feel out of place in public. It is like wearing a tee shirt or a tie. However, I only wear it whilst driving as this is what the law requires of me.

Keep your peepers on the road and your mitts on the wheel. If you have to dial and drive, this device is well advised.

Cheers

Summary: If you can get it for say 50 bucks (24 pounds) or less, get it.
