I have had the Nokia HS-23 Earphones for a few years now. They came with an old Nokia phone that I had for around two years. I never really though about reviewing them until I recently purchased an iphone which also came with a set of earphones. So now I could compare the two. First of to say these are a few years old I think they are very good little earphones! The Nokia HS-23 earphones are only compatible with certain types of Nokia phone which is something of a draw back. However you can buy adapters which fit on the end which means you can use them with some other devices as well. They are black in colour and unlike some earphones the ear piece comes with some nice padding which make these very comfortable when they are sitting in your ears. One of the major draw backs of these earphones for me was the fact that they really don't stay in my ears very well. If I'm sat still they are alright but soon as I start moving about they fall out. When I used to wear these for running I would have to either tape them in place or wear a hat over my ears to keep them in. This is possibly due to the padding on them, so for comfort you sacrifice practicality. One good feature is the length of the wire, it's very long! I have never had any problems when using these, the wire always reaches where I want it to. For me the best feature of these is the little device that sits half way up the wire. This is basically a volume control and it also allows you to skip a track. It's very easy to use even when you are out running. It usually sits around my chest area which is perfect as it's so easy to grab hold of if you want to change the volume. The best feature is the large tap button, to change track all I have to so is tap my chest! It's that simple! The only slight draw back to his was that sometimes when I wore them if I leaned forward onto something the track would skip when the button got pressed accidentally. I was never to bothered about this though. The sound quality of these is also pretty good. I must confess I'm no expert in this field but I always found the quality good enough for my needs. Price wise you can pick up a pair of these for next to nothing. As they were given out free with phones there are loads floating around on eBay and Amazon. Overall I would say these are top quality earphones, the only thing I did not like about them was the fact that they fell out of my ear so often.
