we use Skype for calls at work and I, along with several colleagues, was given this Philips headset to use with it. After a few months daily use, I'd say that the sound quality is very good (both in terms of what you hear and what it picks up) and the set is both robust and durable (these get lugged around in rucksacks too). My co-workers have made similar observations, so its not just me. In terms of connecting to your PC, there is the option of plugging the 2 jacks into a USB adaptor or just plugging them directly into the mic / speaker sockets.
