I have recently started doing some work from home which involves using voice calls on my laptop thus had to invest in a headset. Due to this being I hope a long term project I decided to buy something that would last rather than the cheapest or first item I saw. In the end I went for the Plantronics Blackwire C610 model paying just under £50 in a local store and have been very pleased with my purchase. The price did not put me off as I knew I would be making it back in no time on the work I was doing.
This is designed ideally I feel for a call centre and has all the features the finest call centre companies use for their products. I wanted something to sound professional, that cancelled out noise and did not sound like I was on a laptop on a cheap headset. This works a treat.
Firstly, it looks stylish not that anyone sees me on it but it looks very professional and classy. It is made from sturdy stuff and feels durable and like it could take a good battering. In the constant off and on the head I have no fear this will break down on me and it feels every pound the price. Its also very comfortable to wear, doesn't make the head sweat and is easily adjustable and in actual fact after a few usages you barely feel as it you have it on at all! It has one ear piece which I prefer and a rest for the other side of the head. This is ideal for my needs! The padding on the ear cushion and the padding on the ear piece is light but deep and rests easily on the head and after much use has not faded at all. In terms therefore of the design and the making of the product it is superb!
How about functions? Well it is very easy to set up and just about is a plug and play device. Compatible with all programmes and machines anyone will have it up and running in a matter of minutes. It has many features just as noise cancellation which work a wonder and testing it out on a friend they said they could not even hear me typing which is ideal and makes the calls more professionals. That is some noise cancellation as I hate products that advertise themselves to do such a function and actually do very little. The mic that picks your sound up also does it very clearly without muffling and with it being flexible you can get just the right level of volume. Again when testing with a friend I heard them so clearly that is exceeds the quality of a normal phone.
Overall this product has not failed me once and provided nothing but a high quality experience that I would strongly recommended to anyone looking for such a device. Pricey but worth every penny for a professional and clear headset.
