Advantages: Comfortable for prolonged periods, easy to set up
Disadvantages: Sound quality not quite as good as a regular DECT phone
This device is sold as an office product, but I use one domestically at home. You can buy them for much less than the RRP; I got mine on from an ebay shop for less than £100, brand new including p&p.
It was very easy to add it as another DECT phone and, since it is so comfortable to wear it is now possible to, for example, type on the computer, wash the dishes or do the ironing while having a telephone conversation.
It has a neat charger and I have never managed to get it to run out of charge while talking. The sound quality is not quite as good as my best regular DECT phone but it is not a strain to use it even for extended periods.
I dithered a long time before buying it, because of the price, but in terms of convenience it is well worth the cost.
Summary: Only works as part of a DECT system. Well worth it if you make long calls
